Services
Excessive, unwanted hair can be a nuisance, though it can create problems much greater such as embarrassment and low self-esteem. Temporary removal methods, such as tweezing and waxing, can increase the hair growth and make it courser. The only permanent method of hair removal recognized and approved by the American Medical Association and the Food and Drug Administration is electrolysis. At Madison Park Electrolysis state of the art technology and the most current sterilization procedures are utilized.
An ophthalmologist, named Charles E. Michel, discovered electrolysis in 1875 to permanently remove ingrown eyelashes presented by some of his patients. The basic technique has remained the same through the years, though its efficacy has improved with the development of modern equipment. Electrolysis involves permanently removing hair utilizing a fine, stainless steel, sterilized, disposable probe and electrical current. The probe, about the diameter of the hair, is carefully inserted into the follicle alongside the hair by a skilled, professional electrologist.

Glenna is so very professional, her rates are very fair and affordable, and she doesn't push for additional services, listening and addressing the needs of her clients. Her space is very clean. And I personally appreciate her refreshing dry sense of humor and direct way of speaking. She helps three generations of my family with their unwanted facial hair - and we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I've been going to Glenna for about a year. She is a true professional and excellent at what she does. You can tell she has been doing this for a long time and is highly knowledgeable. I was nervous about how effective this would be for me but I've been really impressed with the results. Definitely recommend!

I had my first session with Glenna the other day and am very pleased. She has a friendly and relaxed demeanor which is helpful since electrolysis can be uncomfortable. I would recommend her if you are interested in the blend technique electrolysis

You will be in good hands with Glenna, owner of Madison Park Electrolysis. Little did I know when I asked around and was referred to her over 15 years ago that hair removal would result in a long term relationship. With pregnancies and aging come hormonal ups and downs = hair of different kinds where I didn't want it. I've tried everything: tweezing, clipping, bleaching, laser, waxing and sugaring my face.

I've kept coming back for more electrolysis because it works and it's cost effective. It gets gray and fine blond hairs that laser doesn't affect, and there are no "ingrown bumps" that I get with even the most skilled waxing or sugaring. I can scoot in for $35 and get a new hair removed - you can't find that price with laser! I have graduated to zapping my brow hairs, because wouldn't it be nice to take this off my list of personal care tasks? Glenna runs a tight ship - no waiting around. I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes.

After reading the online reviews, I called to ask some questions and set up a consultation. A woman answered the phone with a rude and hostile tone before I even said a word, and didn't even state the business name so I had to ask. I asked about rates, and she was curt and unhelpful and sounded irritated. She belligerently asked if I was male or female when I asked if rates were hourly.

There was nothing in the context of the conversation that this would come up yet. I am female with a deep voice, and I'm used to being asked that, but her tone was really aggressive and offensive. We all know when someone is trying to treat you like crap from their tone. I asked her if she was having a bad day because she sounded so grouchy. She answered "I'm the only one here and I was getting ready to start on a client." So presumably that was Glenna and apparently I'm supposed to read her mind and know she was busy at the moment.

Perhaps she should use voice mail or get a receptionist who isn't such a witch. What an unprofessional, rude, and horrible attitude. I would never feel comfortable having someone like that provide a service on my person in any way.
