In 2011, Virginia (Ginger) Somerville-Grant and Sara Somerville moved back to their hometown of Orange, Va., to realize their life-long dream of being successful entrepreneurs and owning their own business together. There was never a question that the business would be a Day Spa, as Ginger had owned a spa in Florida (O2 of the South Florida) and Sara had been a national trainer for a major beauty company.

Med Spa of Virginia Total Wellness Center offers two laser techniques for Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation: the Lumenis M22 IPL and the Lumenis M22 ResurFX. The IPL module utilizes SapphireCool Light Guides to provide continuous cooling to maximize patient comfort during the procedure. Went there for my appointment; a hydro facial. Ginger was fabulous & the facial really cleared out my pores, I felt refreshed and ultra cleaned afterwards! I did purchase a couple of the products that were used on me today and though they were pricey, I've already made further appointments and am looking forward to having Ginger continue to make my skin as nice as it can be.
My conclusion is that I'll tell anyone to go there for facial services to be careful what products you buy! Thank you very much! Afterthoughts: Upon starting the products I bought, the facial oil was only Olive oil with a light scent added. The moisturizer did NOT contain much of anything special, NO SPF & NO RETINOL that I'd specifically asked for, for true protection from aging. Won't be returning.

I can vary where I get my botox done based on running specials, but there is NO WHERE in the Charlottesville area that can match the price at Med Spa. At $10 a unit during the first weekend of every month, it's a steal considering the upcharge at other places and it's not even a doctor, but rather a "trained" professional doing the injecting. I highly recommend the Med Spa for anyone searching for the best price and highest educational level combination. They actually offer a lot of services here, but I can only speak on the botox, which I'm quite pleased with.

3 month wait time to get my hair done to use a gift card. Gift cards have an expiration of 2 years- NOT STATED ON THE GIFT CARD. When they refused my $150 gift card (after I was told it was still valid in July), she expected me to pay a deposit for a future appointment since I did not want it to cost me anything at this visit. NOT GOING BACK!
